Sausage Sizzle – Friday 4th November
|
On Friday 4th November the fundraising committee will be running a sausage sizzle. Order forms were sent home this week and must be returned to the Office with payment by Tuesday 1st November. A copy of the order form is attached below.

The latest Scholastic Book Club brochure has been handed out and orders must be placed by 6pm on Friday 4th November. There are spare brochures in the Office.
This could be a good way to get some Christmas shopping ticked off the list! If you would like to purchase books as presents for your own children please let the Office Staff know and we can hold your books in the Office for you to collect rather than the books going to your child’s classroom for your child to bring home.
Please place your orders online (link below) as we cannot accept cash payment for this in the Office. https://mybookclub.scholastic.co.nz/Parent/Login.aspx

We are doing the Baking Paper, Tin Foil, Cling Film and Zip-lock bags fundraiser again. Order forms have been sent home with students and we have also attached this form below.
Orders are due back by Thursday 3 November with payment to the Office.
All funds raised will go towards equipment for our new science lab! Work started on the classroom at the end of the hall last term and continued through the holidays. The science lab is now nearly complete which is very exciting.

Summer Uniform and buying/selling second-hand
|
A reminder that in Term 4 students should be wearing their Summer Uniform.
This includes Sunhats for use when they are outside for all students in Years 1-8. The ECS Office has some new small size sunhats available for sale.
Information with regards to the uniform can be found at: https://www.emmanuelchristian.school.nz/uniform/
Our parent facebook group is a good place to look if you have second-hand uniform to sell or are looking for items to purchase. We have a number of new families starting in 2023 who are looking for second-hand uniform to buy. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2451643315112761
When selling second-hand uniform items to other school families, you are more than welcome to drop the uniform off to the Office in a named bag for the purchaser to collect.
The School does still have a small range of Uniform items for sale (left over from our Uniform Shop) and regularly lists these items for sale on the Facebook group.

Blazers are an option for students in Year 9 and 10. They are not compulsory. We order these directly through a wholesaler here in Christchurch. The price is $201.25 (this is the cost price).
If you would like to order a new blazer for your child who will be in Year 9 or 10 next year please contact Louise in the Office. If you are looking to buy or sell a second-hand blazer at the end of this year Louise will be creating a list of those wanting to purchase a second-hand blazer and those selling blazers to assist with the sale and purchase.
