Internet Safety Parents Night

Please book this date in your diaries for an informative and helpful presentation.  We will provide more information next term, however, this is a night to make if at all possible.

It is often easy to view these events as being only suited to older children.  Can we suggest that this is very much not the case.  This event is targeted to parents of children of all ages.

Brett is a great presenter and builds this presentation from his own personal journey and faith in Christ.

You can register at: tinyurl.com/ECS-Korero

Final End of Year assembly / prizegiving – 10 December

Our final end of year assembly will be held on Tuesday 10 December.  The assembly will start at 1pm and is held at the La Vida Centre (34a Hansons Lane, Upper Riccarton).

Students will travel to the event by bus from school.  At the end of the event they will either be able to travel home with you from La Vida, or return to school by bus.  More detail about the transport will be sent closer to the time.

This is a great chance to celebrate the year, if it is possible would be great to see you there.

Parking and Gates

We wanted to  remind you all of two issues which impact on safety, particularly of students.

Gates:

We have observed several times when the gates at school have been left open after use.  This particularly applies to the gate between the school and the Papanui Club carpark area.  When this gate is left open children can run directly out onto the carpark area.  This is a significant safety issue.  Can we please ask that if you use this gate, you ensure it is closed behind you.

Papanui Club Parking:

The Papanui Club have asked us to remind you not to park in the driveway alongside the school.  When you are coming into to drop off or collect your children please park in one of the marked parks.  From there please accompany your child as they walk to the gate and help them to open and close the gate.  The club have also sent a message to their members reminding them that school students are around and asking them to slow down and take care in this area.
