Emmanuel Christian School – Maximum Roll

Kia ora Parents and Caregivers,

As you are aware the demand for places at Emmanuel Christian School has been growing over recent years.  A few years ago we reached a point where we had a significant waiting list of Christian families wanting to enrol their children.  With our current maximum roll cap of 275 students this was demand that we could not meet.

After a significant amount of work from the Proprietor Trust, supported by the School Board and the Christian Education Network (CEN) team, a number of applications to increase Maximum Roll levels were submitted to the Ministry of Education from Canterbury Christian Schools, including Emmanuel Christian School.

We are aware that many of you have been praying for this process, whcih we very much appreciate.

Today we are very pleased to let you know that this week we have heard that the Ministry has granted a maximum roll increase to Emmanuel Christian School.  This will allow us to continue to grow, and to offer Christ centered education to a greater number of families.

This increase will allow us to offer a further group of places for students for the 2025 year.  We intend to add an extra New Entrants class in 2025 adding aproximately 25 extra students to the Emmanuel roll each year. 

Our Maximum roll will increase over the next 6 years as shown below.

Since the school opening in 1987 we have seen God’s faithfulness to this community.  We are very grateful for all that God has done, and continues to do in this His school.  We have a lot to be thankful for.
