The Athlete’s Foot School Rewards
|
For every pair of shoes purchased at The Athlete’s Foot (Northlands or Riccarton), $10 will be donated to Emmanuel Christian School.
The Athlete’s Foot stocks an excellent range of school shoes and sport shoes.
Please let your extended family and friends know that every purchase supports our school. All they need to do is to say, “please can you link this purchase to Emmanuel Christian School.”
You do not need to be purchasing school shoes, it can be any shoe purchase by anyone, all you need to do is request they link the purchase to our school. If there are any issues with this, please see Louise at the Office.
Thank you very much for your support!

Internet Safety Parents Night
|
Please book this date in your diaries for an informative and helpful presentation. We will provide more information next term, however, this is a night to make if at all possible.
It is often easy to view these events as being only suited to older children. Can we suggest that this is very much not the case. This event is targeted to parents of children of all ages.
Brett is a great presenter and builds this presentation from his own personal journey and faith in Christ.
You can register at: tinyurl.com/ECS-Korero

We wanted to remind you all of two issues which impact on safety, particularly of students.
Gates:
We have observed several times when the gates at school have been left open after use. This particularly applies to the gate between the school and the Papanui Club carpark area. When this gate is left open children can run directly out onto the carpark area. This is a significant safety issue. Can we please ask that if you use this gate, you ensure it is closed behind you.
Papanui Club Parking:
The Papanui Club have asked us to remind you not to park in the driveway alongside the school. When you are coming into to drop off or collect your children please park in one of the marked parks. From there please accompany your child as they walk to the gate and help them to open and close the gate. The club have also sent a message to their members reminding them that school students are around and asking them to slow down and take care in this area.

This will be the last opportunity to order for the year so if you would like to stock up on some Christmas presents, please do check our the catalogue online.
If you would like to order any of the books, this can be done online on LOOP. For your first time you will need to register in order to make a Book Club LOOP login. We cannot take orders/payment via the Office so please order online. Instructions are on the back of the brocure. You will have approximately two weeks to place your order. Once orders close, they will be sent to school and will come home with your child. On all orders the school earns 15% in scholastic rewards which benefits our school library.
Emmanuel Christian School does not endorse all material that is available for purchase from Scholastic Book Club. Please use your discernment when selecting reading material for your child.
Closing date : Friday 25th October, 6pm
If you didn’t receive a brochure we have some at the Office and they are also available online on LOOP.

Emmanuel Christian School – Enrolment Scheme Consultation
|
|
Ministry of Education consultation has begun around an enrolment scheme amendment for our school.
You can read about this proposal at Christian Education Network Schools’ enrolment scheme amendments – Education in New Zealand and complete the survey to place your feedback if you have any.
One area which changes relates to the priority of enrolment for siblings. Please note that while this change is important and different views need to be considered carefully, it does not impact on the siblings of current students. For siblings of these students the currenrt scheme would continue to apply.
All students who are currently enrolled before the enrolment scheme commences are entitled to remain enrolled.
Please read all the information on the above website before placing your feedback.
Consultation closes on 24 October 2024.
