Welcome to the Term 2, Week 7 Newsletter.

Important Dates

Tuesday 13th June – Classes finish at 2:30pm due to staff professional development

Thursday 22nd June – School Photos

Wednesday 28th June – Final Day of classes for Term 2 

Early Finish Tuesday 13th June

Due to staff being involved in professional development with teachers from other Christchurch Christian Schools, classes will finish at 2:30pm on Tuesday 13th June.

School Photos Thursday 22nd June

Our annual School photos will be taken during the school day on Thursday 22nd June.  Every student will have both an individual and a class photo taken during this day.  Information on ordering a copy will be avaliable at a later date.

As in the last few years there will be an option for photographs of students to be taken with their siblings who are currently also at Emmanuel Christian School.  This will occur before school on the 22nd.  If you wish to have a sibling photo taken of your children then please complete the attached form and return to the office before Tuesday 20th June.

International Language week thanks and upcoming Culture Day

A big shout out to our Spanish and Korean speaking parent volunteers. 

Thank you so much taking time out to read to our tamariki (children) in junior school. The students and teachers have really enjoyed listening to stories in different languages. As we wrap up this week of International Languages, we look forward to our school’s Culture Day that is happening in Week 6 of Term 3. Music Opportunities at ECS

Free membership to the Christchurch City Libraries! Joining is as easy as 1,2,3

Please see the letter in the link below which has information on how to sign up for membership at the Christchurch City Libraries.  For more information or to fill in a form see Mrs Davison in our school library or pick up a form from the Office.  The school Library will be open after school on Monday 12th and Wednesday 14th June next week so please feel free to pop in and see Mrs Davision.
